Legacy of the South" tells the haunting story of love, sacrifice, and betrayal set against the backdrop of southern Iran. Vahid is deeply in love with Sheyda, the sister of his closest friend, Saleh. But when Saleh, involved in drug trafficking, forces Sheyda into an unwanted marriage with another man, tragedy strikes. Sheyda attempts to take her own life on her wedding day. Vahid rushes her half-conscious body to the hospital, only to be told there’s no hope. Refusing to give up, he secretly marries her in a 99-year temporary marriage while she lies in a coma, clinging to the dream of their love. Meanwhile, driven by pain and revenge, Vahid turns Saleh in to the police. What unfolds is a gripping emotional journey—where love defies death, loyalty is tested, and the past refuses to stay buried.
